White hat - The Good Guy

Many a times we come across techniques termed as 'white hat' and 'black hat' in computer slang. One can give you various thoughts on this topic, but just for the basics we can say that 'black hat' is the bad guy and 'white hat' is the good guy. Similarly white hat techniques are the legal ways of online working for activities involving SEO while black hat techniques are the illegal way. So, we can come to know that both these techniques are exactly opposites.

Spammers and fakes usually use the bad black hat techniques to trick customers. That is not all, even search engines can be tricked by such techniques. It is an equally risky way of working and therefore is not recommended, to work with. Such techniques spam and cloak which can be expressed as manipulations. Some get away with these techniques but others can be heavily penalized. So, take the risk of using these techniques and blame yourself only if you suffer for taking this decision.

Now let's take about the good guy, the white hat techniques. Let's list some of them first. Talking about the other benefits, White hat techniques work in an accurate and proper way to increase traffic while black hat uses unethical ways which can lead to ban a site and get black listed. White hat techniques are those which call for a long time partnership while black hat ones cannot last for a long period.

The former focuses on quality and improvement of web content while the latter is restricted to search engine tricks. It can even be noted that white hat techniques, works mainly on a client's domain.

White hat techniques are even better as they try to ensure content which are informative, interesting and fresh but at the same time even is clean and catchy. This is because the content may be viewed by a number of visitors and if the above is worked on, it helps in generating popularity.

White hat techniques have always proved to be effective and at the same time very influential. Even though not all white hat techniques prove to be of equal efficiency.

White hat techniques are not like black hat ones as they try more to avoid search engines or just maintain a friendly relation with the search engines. This is because the former can give a better impression without the search engine interference while the latter has no recognition without search engines. This means that once blacklisted by the search engines, black hats have no recognition and white hat techniques continue to stay strong in the field.
